Sandy Khaund, Founder
Sandy has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of technology development and operational management. After spending over 6 years at Microsoft managing various technical, product and marketing groups, Sandy went on to become COO of Piczo, a large teen community site with over 10 million monthly unique visitors. Prior to Microsoft, Sandy enjoyed a wide variety of work experiences, including application and semiconductor engineering at Intel, management consulting at the Boston Consulting Group, and astro-space engineering at Lockheed Martin. Sandy has filed three patents and published several technical papers. In 2011, Sandy was selected as a fellow for the Kauffman Foundation Venture Lab’s inaugural Education Entrepreneur program. Sandy holds undergraduate and graduate Electrical Engineering degrees from Cornell University, an undergraduate Physics degree from Ithaca College, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
Patrick Feeney, Product Management
Patrick has a background in math and physics education. He has taught in high schools from France to New York to Hawaii and holds a B.S. in Physics from Stanford and an M.A. in history from New York University where he was ABD. More recently he has been involved in designing a live tutoring website for high school students and various iPhone applications. He is currently working towards a graduate degree in education research at UC Berkeley with a special interest in e-learning and online teaching.

Dr. Hartman is an internationally renowned educator, having served the past 26-years as a university professor, academic administrator, and consultant at several leading universities, including The University of Pennsylvania, The University of Delaware, New York Institute of Technology, and Drexel University. He is the author of numerous publications related to educational technology (books, articles, CD-ROMs), and formerly a syndicated newspaper columnist, television talk show host, and commissioned military officer. He can also be seen regularly on NBC10 (Philadelphia), as the station’s on-air technology contributor.
Recent awards and honors include: the 2006 Partners in Education Award from the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling, the 2006 Drexel School of Education’s Faculty Fellow and Associate Award, the 2007 Penn Educator of the Year Award from The University of Pennsylvania, and the 2008 Leadership in Distance Learning Program Administration Award from the United States Distance Learning Association. Dr. Hartman holds an undergraduate degree from The State University of New York at Geneseo, a master’s degree from Michigan State University, and a doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
