Angela Hadaway: Irynsoft Teacher Contest Winner!!

Congratulations to Angela Hadaway, winner of the Irynsoft Teacher Contest!   She will receive a classroom set of Irynsoft Virtuoso Tablets for her Trinidad Middle School math and science class, with video catalog and tests completely customized to her student needs.

With just one test tablet in hand, Mrs. Hadaway tested student use inside her classroom, before and after school, and in the MESA program.  She wrote tablet-specific lesson plans, applied for a Teachers and Technology grant, and posted her “Flipping for Fractions” project on DonorsChoose.  Her students mapped out the areas around the world where Virtuoso Tablets were being piloted, and discussed issues of access to educational tools.  They are extremely excited to see their hard work paying off!

As a pioneer in “flipping the classroom”, Mrs. Hadaway knows firsthand the challenges faced by students who lack computers and/or internet at home.  Now she is ready to hit the ground running with a classroom set of Virtuoso Tablets, which will extend the learning of her rural Colorado students beyond their 4 day school week.  They will watch video lectures and take quizzes from home, allowing her to fill her classroom time with hands-on learning and personalized instruction.
